Since 1987, the
Center for Child Protection and Family
Support has advocated for safe and healthy
environments for families. We’re helping to ensure all
children can grow up and live in communities free of
all forms of violence. We offer evidence-based intervention
and treatment services to traumatized children, and we conduct
prevention programs for parents and caretakers.
We are committed to
meeting the needs of families from diverse cultural
and ethnic backgrounds.
Through training, research
and technical assistance, we help to strengthen the knowledge
and skills of providers about the issues of child maltreatment.
The Center is a non-profit
social service agency co-founded by Joyce N. Thomas, a pediatric
nurse practitioner with extensive experience in services children
and families in need.
